Cindrella is the most liked and adored Disney Character. Kids are as innocent as her and it would be a treat to have her as your childs birthday party theme.
Ideas for Making the Invitation
- Cindrella Scroll Invitations: Make invitations on white marbled paper (with pink lettering) or pink marbled paper (with black lettering). Let them announce the Cinderella party. Roll the invitations up into a scroll and either tie with a pretty ribbon or place a gold seal on the outside.
- Emchanted Castle/Fairy tale Carriage: Choose an invitation that will give your family and friends a sneak preview of your theme. Either an enchanting castle or a fairytale carriage shaped invitation would be perfect. Consider sprinkling some castle-shaped confetti or Fairy Godmother dust (sparkly powder) inside the envelope to make your invitation stand out.
- Cinderella Crown Invitations: To make this Cinderella birthday party invitation, trace the shape of a crown onto gold cardstock paper, cut it out. Fold black or pink cardstock paper (fold in half) so it looks like an invitation. Glue the gold crown on top of the black or pink invitation paper. Inside the invitation write the party information. Sprinkle some white or gold glitter to the invitation and envelope.

Keep a kids corner and let the kids read the cindrella story book, colour cindrella pictures, you can borrow cindrella puzzles, etc from friends and relatives for a day till all the guests arrive.
Fun Games
- Cindrella’s missing slipper: you can buy a pair of transparent slippers or any other glass look a like slipper of the size as the guests. Have all the girls try them and the one who fits in the slipper can take it with them. If there are more than who can fit in then the one who fits in it first gets to take the slippers however the others who fit in do get a reward.
- Cindrella’s Treasure Hunt: Hide cindrella related stuff like tiara’s, aprons, spoons, belts, etc all around and ask the kids to hunt them..the one who finds the maximum number of cindrella treasure wins. You can also have her friends hidden like stickers of birds,mice,horses,etc..
- Pin the Crown on The Cinderella: Cinderella birthday party game similar to Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Let the girls pin the crown on the Cinderella. Beforehand cut out lots of small crowns out of gold paper. Each guest should have a crown with their name on (so there is no confusion later over who is the winner). Don't forget to blindfold the kid and spin her around one time before she tries to pin the crown on the Cinderella.
- Cinderella Housecleaning: When all the guests have arrived, announce that each girl is now Cinderella. Give each one a feather duster or a rag to clean up a room in your house. (The kids are going to love this!)
- Ballroom Dancing: When all the Cinderella birthday party guests are dressed for the ball, play the "Nutcracker" music, and let them dance around the party room. From time to time, turn off the music and present a prize to "the best twirler" or "the most elegant couple." (Prepare awards ahead of time, and present a small prize for each award.)
- The Strike of Midnight: During the last dance, the clock strikes twelve (an alarm clock that chimes). Instruct the girls to run, leaving one "slipper" behind. Back in their Cinderella's room, they strip down to their "rags."
- Cinderella's Message Mix-Up: Have your Cinderella birthday party guests sit in a circle. The birthday girl comes up with a message that she thinks the Fairy Godmother would want to tell Cinderella (e.g., Be sure to be home by midnight or your carriage will turn into a pumpkin.) She then whispers the message to the person on her left.
The message travels all the way around the circle. The person on the birthday girl's right tells the message out loud and then the birthday girl tells the original message. Watch the girls giggle as they compare both messages. You can start another round by letting another person be the "Godmother." - Little Pad Moat Crossing: Cut out four large lily pads from green cardboard (about 12"x15" in size). Divide Cinderella birthday party guests into two equal lines, and give the first person in each line two lily pads. The lily pads become the only thing they can step on as they travel across the moat - from the front of the line, around a chair and back to the line again.
The game begins when children place one lily pad on the ground and step on it. Then they do the same with the other lily pad. Next, they pick up the first lily pad and place it on the ground in front of the other. When they cross the moat they hand the two lily pads to the next player in line. The team to make it all the way across the moat first is the winner.
To make the game longer and more challenging, give each of the two teams a princess outfit. In addition to walking on lily pads, each child must first put on the princess outfit. - Who am I?: Write names of the characters on strips of masking tape before the Cinderella birthday party, so each child will have one. (The names can include Cinderella, Prince, Duke, Stepmother, Step Sisters, King, Queen, Godmother, etc.)
At game time, attach a name to each kid's back, bud don't let them see it. Children must figure out what character is on their back by asking everyone else questions that can be answered "yes" or "no." (For example, "Am I a girl?" "Do I have magical powers?", etc.) - Edible Jewelry: Girls will love creating sweet jewelry. For edible "beads," purchase a variety of doughnut-shaped cereal, small candies, or tiny cookies. (Life Savers® candies are kid-favorites - buy as many varieties as you can find, so there's lots of colors and flavors to choose from.)
For stringing material, use spaghetti licorice rope so necklaces and bracelets are completely edible. (Use yard or elastic cord as alternatives.) - Pass the Wand: Have the children sit down in a circle, and hand out a "wand" to one of them. Ask a helper to play music, stopping it every 10 to 20 seconds. As the Cinderella birthday party music plays, kids start passing the wand as quickly as possible.
When the music stops, the person holding the wand goes out of the game. Let that child keep the wand. Hand out another wand and turn the music back on to continue the game. The game ends when everyone is out, and everyone has a wand.
