The mickey-minnie club house party is the best if you have twins with a girl and boy.
The theme being mickey and Minnie you could ask the kids to dress-up like Minnie and mickey mouse.
Ideas for Making the Card
- Mickey Mouse Face: Cut out a circle of white card paper for mickey’s face and two small circles as his ears. Stick the ears on the white paper and write the poem with a red marker. Stick this mickeys face on a lollipop with the blank side facing the lollipop. Make sure the lollipop is flat and preferably round shaped. Now make smaller faces in the same way and have the party details on the small cut outs like venue on one, timings on another one and date on the third small face and stick them on the stick of the lollipop and tie it up with a red ribbon.
- Hot-Air Balloon: You can also get a basket a square or rectangular long basket which looks like a hot-air balloon. Tie a balloon preferably white balloon or red on top of the basket. Make a card with a rectangle white card paper and write the club house poem in front of the card and the venue, date and timings along with the dress-code go behind. Inside the basket you can place a mickey and Minnie sticker with a packet of chocolates wrapped with red and white or black and white paper. To be more creative you can buy small lollipops and make the lollipops along with small mickey mouse faces with the venue, date and time on each face as mentioned above.
Poems for the Birthday Card
- Oh toodles…look who is turning (age) so come along and celebrate X’s birthday at Time, date, venue and don’t forget to dress in the colours of Minnie and Mickey.
- 1,2,3,4,5 Mickey and Minnie are excited guys, Huey, Dewey and Louie wonder why? Because little X is turning 1 that is why…J
Gifting Ideas
- Mickey-Mouse Colouring Box and Colouring Book: You can gift a mickey-mouse colouring box with a mickey-mouse colouring book. Both these thing can be easily available in the malls. You can also try to book them online.
- Mickey mouse towels: for the boys and Minnie mouse towels for the girls. It would be a task to divide the gifts for boys and girls but I guess its worth the effort.
- CD of Mickey Mouse Movie/Songs: You can gift a cd of mickey mouse clubhouse party.
- You can pair the cd with these cute little easy to make cloves. Just run to a nearby mall and pick-up some plain white gloves and make black paw marks on the back of the gloves with black paint. This would be a unique idea for sure.
- Hunt-down the nearby malls for more gifting ideas. You might just find something adorable there.
Decoration
Mickey Mouse Masks/Head Gears: Hand over masks or mickey-mouse ear hair-bands and tell the kids “to come and play”.
You can have a huge mickey-minnie stuff toy at the centre of the venue holding a bunch of balloons in their hands.
For decoration use balloons of white, red and black colours. Make bunches of the balloons and hang them all around the place.
Have stickers of mickey and Minnie along with their friends all over the place.
Set a play area with toys and stuff toys for the toddlers and 1-2 yr. olds.
Decorate the place with white, black and red ribbons all around. Use blue, pink and red streamers.
Welcome Note
You can hire a mickey and Minnie dress from the market and get someone wear it and stand at the entrance to greet the guests. The person can greet the guests by giving a bunch of black and white balloon to every child as a welcome note.
Fun Games
- Easter Egg Hunt: You can make laminated easter eggs and hide them around the party place like under the sofa, chairs, tables and various corners. Ask the kids to hunt down the eggs and the one who is able to find the maximum number of eggs wins. Let the prize be a big easter egg that opens and filled with a bag of chocolates.
- Bark like Pluto: Ask the kids to bark like Pluto and the one with the most scariest bark would be getting a prize.
- Mickey Says: Play the Simon says game with a little change in the first name from simon to mickey.
- I Spy: Have 2 packs of pictures/stickers of mickey and his friends of the same kind. Have atleast 15 pictures. Hide the pictures from one pack all around the place. Now show the pictures from the full pack and ask the kids to find the other similar picture. The one who is able to find the correct picture wins. Here you can let the winner take the picture he found as his reward.
- I Spot: Make pairs of shapes of different types with different coloured construction paper. Make 5-6 shapes. Stick one pair of the shapes in different corners of the venue. Now say, “I Spy a purple flower” and show the shape to the kids. The kids have to go and stand near the same purple flower shape. You can make it more challenging but adding dots of different colours.
- Musical Chairs: you can play musical chairs with the elders by playing some mickey-mouse music.
- Movie Time: you can play a cd of mickey club house party for the kids and let them enjoy their favourite show.
Food Ideas that go with the Mickey-Minnie Club-House Theme
- Cake of a mickey and Minnie picture on it would be great. You can have variations by having a chocolate cake with red colour buttons all around.
Hunt down cake shops for more cake ideas.
- Spagetti noodles go well with the mickey-minnie club-house theme.
- Mickey Mouse Shaped Cookies: you can buy mickey-mouse face shaped cookies and give them to the kids.
- Sandwiches cut in a shape of mickey head or just plain circles would be a real treal for the kids.
- Cup-Cakes with a face like mickey mouse would be good.
- Triangular Cheese Slices: Mouse love cheese so you can give the kids cheese slices cut in triangular shapes.
- Anchiladas would also go well as they are filled with cheese sauce.
- Red colour jelly would be enjoyed by the kids.
- Rainbow Punch would be a great drink to be served(check the recipe in the drinks column of my blog)
Do prepare a separate menu for the adults.
Additional Tips
You can have a jumping balloon in one corner of the venue. You can hire one of them or buy them online but buying would obviously be too expensive.
You can catch hold of one of your family member or friend who is a good painter and ask them to tattoo a mickey mouse face on the arm of the kids. you can also get ready made sticker tattoos but I prefer to paint it as kids enjoying watching their mickey-minnie being painting on the back of their palm or above their elbows.
