Ingredients
1 Whole Chicken / cut into big pieces
2 Onions (Finely Chopped)
½ Tsp Pepper
2 Tsp Vinegar
2 Tsp Butter
Salt to taste
Fresh Coriander Leaves to Garnish.
For the Sauce
1 Cup Tomato Puree
½ Cup Tomato Sauce
2 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tsp Red Chili Powder
4 Cloves Garlic
2 Tsp Butter
½ Tsp Sugar
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Method
- Marinate the chicken in salt, pepper and vinegar. Leave it for about half an hour.
- Grind the ingredients from the for the sauce column to a fine paste.
- In a pan, heat butter and fry onions till transparent.
- Add the chicken and cook adding a little water if necessary.
- Add all the sauce ingredients to the butter and cook till the sauce thickens.
- Cook for a while and then smoke the chicken (you can smoke the chicken on an electric stove or gas stove by placing a roti flat on the chicken gravy and putting a charcoal piece on top of the roti carefully without letting it touch the gravy, cover for sometime and remove the roti along with the charcoal)
- Serve with stick wafers (salli wafer)and kothmir.
