Method
- For the Filling: Peel and chop the onion finely.
- Make a paste of cumin seeds, garam masala and green chilies.
- Heat oil and fry onions till light brown.
- Add the paste to the onions and the dry masalas (turmeric powder and Chili powder).
- Add tomatoes and cook till tomatoes are crushed up.
- Add mince meat and cook on medium flame.
- When mince meat is ¼ cooked, add peas and cook till meat and peas are completely tender.
- Peel and cut potatoes in cubes and fry them in oil till golden brown.
- Drain and mix potatoes in mince meat.
- Add to it cooking sauce, tomato sauce and mix it well.
- For the Pancakes: Sieve the flour with baking powder.
- In an enamel bowl beat up the eggs. Add salt and pepper, flour, milk and water and mix it. Make a batter of flowing consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan and turn it around to spread evenly. Spread a spoonful of batter in it. When cooked on one side, turn and cook on other side for about a second and remove it. Keep aside. Prepare more pan cakes with the remaining batter. Keep some batter for making the kavesky.
- Put a spoonful of mince meat in the centre of the pancake (depending on the size of the pancake) and fold it like an envelope. Use the left over batter to paste the sides of the envelope.
- Dip this envelope in well beaten up eggs and coat with bread crumbs and fry till light brown and crisp.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup and green salad.
