Coconut Ladoos have a great taste and are really simple to make. It took me just 10 mins to make these ladoos and you can see in the picture they turned out just perfect. You can store these in an air tight jar.
I have tried to be a bit innovative and made barfi along with the ladoos and guys it turned out to be great.
3 Cups Desiccated Coconut/Dry Coconut Powder
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Tsp Cardamom Powder
A few Almonds and Pistas to Garnish
Method
- Boil milk in a pan and add 2 cups desiccated coconut.
- Continue to stir till the water leaves the sides of the pan.
- Mix continuously and add the sugar and cardamom powder.
- Take off the flame and let it cool.
- Put the remaining desiccated coconut in a plate.
- Make balls out of the coconut milk mixture and roll them on the desiccated coconut plate.
- Place a few almonds and pista slices on each ladoo.
- Your coconut ladoos are ready to eat.
- If you want to make coconut barfi you can take a flat plate and spread the coconut mixture on it. Let it rest for sometime. Make small squares with a knife and your coconut barfi is ready.
Note: You can also use ½ cup condensed milk instead of the normal milk but that will make the ladoos too heavy.
